The Inn

The inn is owned and run by William and Lisa Lea, who continue to uphold the Trengilly tradition of fine food, wines and local beer. The Trengilly has an unequalled reputation in Cornwall with numerous awards to it’s credit including:

The six cottage bedrooms in the building all have their own facilities and are thoughtfully and attractively furnished. The recently built, superior garden rooms overlook our own lake and are ideal for double or family occupancy. They are located 30m from the hotel building.

The Restaurant

The restaurant is styled to suit the food we present: modern and light yet built on classical traditions. The fixed price menus offer a range of locally produced meats and game, with fish and shellfish from local waters, modern vegetarian dishes, and rich imaginative desserts, all cooked under the supervision of the owners. There are also occasional special gourmet dinners and wine tastings held in the restaurant.

The Bar

The Trengilly’s bar is a friendly Cornish local inn, with a good mix of people eating and drinking, or both! There is a family roomin the conservatory area with games and puzzles. Also the large garden is great fun for kids to explore and hide and seek. Being a free house we offer a choice of constantly changing local real ales, some of which are served straight from the stillages. We feature up to 20 wines by the glass and a selection of over 140 by the bottle many of which are drawn from our very own wine shippers. All the wines are also available for retail at reasonable prices. We also have an extensive malt whisky list with over 40 available.

Our bar menu is available during lunchtimes and evenings, with cream teas, ice creams, cakes and other delights available during the afternoon. Our award winning chef uses only the finest ingredients, locally sourced where possible. Enjoy them by a blazing fire in winter or under our vine shaded pergola in summer. Our pretty beer garden has fine views of the valley. We also allow dogs.
