Red Spider Mite

Mainly associated with greenhouse plants Red Spider Mite spreads quite rapidly with plant symtoms at first being confused with nutrient deficiency. Mottling appears on the leaves and the leaves start to lose their vibrancy later turning yellowy white. Reverse of the leaf will reveal tiny red spiders and eggs with a heavy infestation seeing the plants covered in a fine web. During hot dry weather Red Spider Mite can become a problem outdoors on fruit and vegetables.

There are chemicals available to control this pest. However if it is affecting fruit and vegetable crops an organic treatment using a form of mite that attacks Red Spider Mite is available. View Organic Red Spider Mite Products
