      <title>Brioche bread and butter pudding without the butter!</title>

        <p>Half a Brioche loaf
<br />
2 - 3 ozs sugar
<br />
3 eggs
<br />
half pint of double cream
<br />
half pint full cream milk
<br />
3 - 4 tablespoons sultanas or raisins
</p>
<p>
Butter a pie dish
<br />
Slice the brioche and cut into triangles
<br />
put a layer of the bread in the pie dish
<br />
Scatter over most of the sultanas
<br />
Arrange the remainder of the bread on top
</p>
<p>
Warm the cream and milk - do not boil!
<br />
beat the eggs with the sugar
<br />
Pour milk and cream onto eggs and  sugar
<br />
Strain mixture over the bread and press down gently so that the bread soaks up the mixture
<br />
Scatter over the remaining sultanas
</p>
<p>
Bake for 40 - 45 minutes at gas no.4
</p>

        <p>Well it may be wet and cold outside but my greenhouse is nice and toasty and all wrapped up for winter, I have plenty of seedlings coming up but I just wondered if there is something anyone can recommend for making sure I get the best from the seedlings so that when spring comes I have nice big healthy plants, well as long as I remember to keep them watered and the heating on lol!

      <title>Tomato &amp;amp; Aubergine Pasta thingy with cheesy yoghurt topping</title>

        <p>1 Tin Tomatoes - chopped
<br />
1 pack plum tomatoes - skinned,seeds removed and chopped
<br />
1 onion - chopped
<br />
1 clove garlic - finely chopped
<br />
4 oz very small pasta shells
<br />
dried oregano or fresh basil
<br />
about a dessertspoon sugar
<br />
salt and pepper
</p>
<p>
1 large or 2 small aubergines - sliced into 1/2 &#8220; slices,sprinkled with salt and left for about an hour.Then lightly coat the slices in seasoned flour and fry until golden.
<br />
Drain well on kitchen paper
</p>
<p>
Topping
</p>
<p>
2 eggs
<br />
1 tub greek yoghurt (I use Total)
<br />
3 -4 oz cheddar cheese - grated
<br />
salt and pepper
<br />
Mix these together - season 
</p>
<p>
Fry the onion and garlic gently in a little olive oil until cooked but not brown
<br />
Add the tinned and fresh tomatoes,sugar and herbs
<br />
cook for 15 - 20 minutes - add a little bit of water if it is too thick - season to taste
</p>
<p>
Cook pasta and add to the sauce
</p>
<p>
Put the Tomato mixture in a baking dish
<br />
layer the aubergine slices on top
<br />
spread the cheesy yoghurt over the top
</p>
<p>
Bake for about 45 minutes Gas no.4 middle oven shelf
</p>
