The SWCAA have launched a petition to make it compulsory for local authorities and developers to make provision for allotments or community gardens when building any new development. We need as many people as possible to sign.  Please spread the word.  You can sign the petition by visiting http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/moreallotments/

Just to let you know that the South West Counties Allotment Association petition for more allotments closed on the 2nd August with a total of 2353 signatures.  I wonder how many of those people are stuck on waiting lists.  The SWCAA are really pleased with the response and thank everyone who took the time to sign.  We now await the governments response with interest.
