Hi I have had some wonderful advice from this forum before and wonder if you can help with my latest query. I have discovered that my prince of wales feather plants will not stand up to frost and I really don’t want to lose them over winter. How can I save them? Will my lavenders be okay, I know all my other plants will be okay. thanks so much for any advice. shrewdal

The prince of wales feather plant Amaranthys is an anual and so save seed off it or resow each year, it may even self seed

I find lavender to be hardy in the midlands and grows as a perennial without protection

Thank you plug for your advice it is very much appreciated and so reassuring that I can, as a novice gardener, tap into the experience of members of this forum. shrewdalx

Yes good advice there plug, I have to admit that I have never had any problems with my lavender through the winter, tough little things.

I often break a sprig off and stick it in the car air vent, much better than air fresheners and free grin
